This weekend will be the third time that my friend Anja and I will teach our Tarot Writing Prompts workshop. This workshop comes out of our mutual interest in tarot, but also from our shared technique of using the cards to spark our intuition and creativity.
Why are tarot cards so great at sparking intuition and creativity?
It is because the imagery on each card evokes emotions, thoughts, and ideas. It has happened time and time again for myself, and Anja and I have also witnessed it happen to the people that participated in our last two Tarot Writing Prompts workshops.
For example, what comes up for you when you look at the card above, The Star from the Animal Totem Tarot?
Maybe the scene makes you think of that trip where you experienced a wonderful night walk on the beach?
Maybe memories of that walk makes you wonder how you can add more experiences like that to your life?
Maybe you have a revelation that your next home will be by the water?
Maybe you get the feeling there’s a pearl of truth hidden inside yourself that wants to get out?
Maybe the image makes you want to write a story about a lonely lightkeeper with a secret?
Maybe this card inspires you to write a poem from the viewpoint of an oyster?
Maybe your mouth is watering because now you really want to eat oysters? ?
You never know what intuitive and creative insights you’ll gain about yourself and your life when you allow yourself to sit with a tarot card.
Now, imagine writing down what comes to you when you look at that tarot card. By writing it down, you are bringing your inner world into the physical world–which is a form of magic.
That is the beauty of writing with tarot. It is just a card. But what each card’s image evokes in you–brings to the surface for you–is magic. ✨
If this post has sparked your interest, then join me and Anja for Tarot Writing Prompts this Sunday, June 27! This is the LAST TIME this workshop will be FREE. All future workshops will incur a fee. So, don’t delay.
